    Coleby

    Cle
    Ron
    Fred

    1st off the bench:
    Nick
    Evan
    Tekele
    ?????? Chadrack/Shaq/Earl
I think that depends on how our post depth stacks up. Coleby is by all counts legit. White is solid. CJ needs to improve. Shaq will be a FR. Watson has a number of ???. IF we can get 2 of those last 3 to contribute a solid amount, then maybe Cle is allowed to play much more SF. IF that happens, it also increases competition among our perimeter guys. Then you have Cle, Wiggy, Baker, Cotton, Wessel and Green competing for PT at SF/SG. Baker could find some PT at PG backing up FVV until Bowles is ready for more minutes.

I am worried about our big man play next year, and replacing Carl Hall. 6'8" is okay for MVC play, but not for National play under the boards. Carl just happens to be an exceptionally tough player.

I just want to clear some air here. I am not campaigning for jake to leave the team. I just said if it happened to him, I wouldn't feel all sick inside. Make no mistake, I want them all, and all the recruits too. But all the signs point to someone not coming back. Jake is like graham hatch and that is a hell of a compliment. I said what I think about the situation. What I said will not change. All I meant is that jake is from the vein of Graham, Cam, Matty B, and Kyle W. come to think of it he reminds me a lot of Kyle. I can get into this more in private if anyone wishes to continue. I refuse to continue this dialogue in the open.

What a stupid post on an exciting night for Shocker Hoops. White, which seems to be a bad shade for you, is a helluva player who continues to improve in all facets of the game. Get a clue, dude.

And if I had to choose one player on this roster that was forced to not come back due to scholarship count, Jake would not be number one on the list.

Kyle wilson, Matt B. and Hatch were three of the best players we have had over the last 10yrs and this decade has seen its share of good players and lots of sucess on the court. Jake is not a superstar but is vital to our team in going forward. He is actually playing some of his best basketball right now, and I feel he knows his role and he likes his role. Every team needs a scrapy player like Jake, and I think Marshall sees his value too.

No kidding. You'd have to have not watched the last month to be down on Jake. Plus he's had all kinds of decent performances here and there beyond just this last month.

Jake is the best remaining rebounding forward (unless others emerge) on a team that is going to lose Carl. He is closer to the side of people we can't afford to lose than people we might let go. Whether or not he starts is not a gimme at all, and he has issues but he sets the bar high enough that whoever has what it takes to beat him will be good enough to help us to some great seasons. It's like we say for may others... The rest of the valley would kill to have guys as good as jake on their roster at all, let alone 2nd or 3rd on the chart.

What I think that Gregg likes about Jake is that he does the little things. For example, he is a good rebounder, but if he can't haul in the rebound, the player he is defending and therefore screening out won't get it either. If the ball is on the ground, he's on the ground to gert it. You don't see those kinds of things on the stat sheet.

Nick needs to work on his lateral quickness so he can defend. If he does that he will play a lot!

                      Lineup:

                      SG - Baker
                      SF - Wessell
                      PF - Early
                      C - Coleby

                      Bench:
                      Cotton
                      Wiggins
                      White
                      Bowles
                      Shaq
                      CJ
                      Green

                      RS
                      Holland

We will need for CJ to really step up his game.

Or just have Shaq step in and be ready to contribute.

Who is CJ? Unless Coleby is going to average ten rebounds a game we are really going to NEED Jake and need defensive rebound improvement from Cle.

                            CJ is Chadrack Lufile.

Speaking of, did anyone see him on the History Channel last night? Dude was ON FIRE!

One of the above won't be here next year, unless they're paying their own way.

Oh, and the walk-on Bush will be on the bench, too.
